It's not exactly any great secret that Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare - on Xbox 360 - has its fair share of glitchers and cheaters who run amok on Xbox LIVE, ruining games for people and padding their ranks. Infinity Ward's community manager, Robert Bowling has let the internets in on a little secret: If you play Call of Duty 4 on LIVE and cheat, Infinity Ward hates you. And like any good developer responsible for a popular multiplayer game should do, they are going to be taking action to ensure that cheaters and their sessions of tomfoolery are no more.
"A patch is in the works to elminate the cheaters in COD4 on Xbox360. Going through certification now. Cheaters days are numbered."
That was the sound of hundreds of soon-to-be-former cheaters furiously pounding their keyboards in unison. Well done, Infinity Ward. With any luck, a multiplayer beta for Modern Warfare 2 will help to axe any potential problems for this Fall. |
